Template:Rename media/doc

Media bearing this template are added to Category:PBC files requiring renaming. If no suggestion is made for the new name, the media will be added to Category:Incomplete file renaming requests.

Usage: {{rename media|New title|Reason for request}}

• Place the template on the file description page.
• Do not subst: the template.
• Do not include the "File:" prefix.
• Remember to add the file extension (.jpg, .png, etc.).
• This is for media only. For articles and templates, see Template:Rename.

Example

{{Rename media|CityisOurscover.jpg|The image's title is misspelled.}} creates:

This media object must be renamed to File:CityisOurscover.jpg or a more suitable name for the following reason: The image's title is misspelled. For further information about when to rename, see PBC:File names. This request will be dealt with by an administrator or bot.
