Copyright laws such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) are not applicable within the Porn Base Central (PBC), as PBC operates outside of the jurisdiction of countries that uphold and enforce the DMCA.
In lieu of such laws, PBC adheres to its unique set of policies that specifically govern the content of articles and the rules related to the content within the articles in the mainspace. These policies are overseen and enforced by the PBC Administrative Committee. This Committee is comprised of members who also serve as administrators and act in the capacity of arbitrators when necessary.
While copyright is not explicitly defined or stated in PBC's policies, the Administrative Committee has established a practice where official affiliates of PBC may request removal or modification of any material on the site. Each such request is reviewed by the Administrative Committee, using a standard similar to the practices for DMCA compliance within its applicable jurisdictions.
It should be noted that this right is exclusive to recognized official affiliates of PBC. Other individuals or organizations do not possess the privilege to request content modification or removal. Any content associated with these non-partner individuals or organizations is subject to direct regulation by PBC's content-specific policies.
